1938
A government directive no 25675, dated 17th May 1936, asked for the printing of a set of 15 stamps, including 8 stamps with a design, done by Arnaldo Ressano Garcia, of an aircraft transversing the globe. These stamps were meant for Airmail postage to all Portuguese Colonies. The stamps were printed at Wilkinson & Co., London and issued on 1st September 1938.
