An Online Stamp Exhibit
The Collection
Stamps, postcards, postal history and memorabilia, classified into the issuing entities, periods and themes.
Five issuing entities, one subcontinent
Philatelic collection from the Indian Subcontinent — British India, Indian Princely States, French and Portuguese Settlements and the Republic. Feel free to browse through the collection and get an insight into the philatelic history of our times.

British India
From the Scinde Dawk of the pre-stamp period to the last George VI definitives — with the expeditionary force overprints that carried Indian post abroad.

Indian States
The princely states that printed their own post — the Convention states overprinting Indian stamps, and the Feudatory states issuing entirely their own.

Portuguese India
Estado Português da Índia — Goa, Damão and Diu. Beginning with the crude hand-set Nativos and running through the Crown types and the royal portraits.

French India
Établissements Français dans l’Inde — Pondichéry, Karikal, Yanaon, Mahé and Chandernagor, from the first definitives to the Victory issue.

Republic of India
The Azad Hind labels of the Indian Legion, the first stamps of a free India in 1947, and the four issued for the inauguration of the Republic.
