The stamps of the denominations of 3 pies, ½ anna, 1 anna, 2 annas, 4 annas, 6 annas, 8 annas, 1 rupee, 2 rupees, 3 rupees, 5 rupees, 10 rupees, 15 rupees, and 25 rupees were overprinted ON. H.M.S similar to the later Victorian stamps to indicate that they were reserved for Official use. The later issued with POSTAGE AND REVENUE were also similarly overprinted.
