Barwani
The Feudatory State of Barwani – II
1921-1948
The British described Barwani as “picturesque”, having hills and valleys covered with dense forests, and dotted with ruins of ancient forts and palaces. The Muslim influence of the past left its mark in the form of mosques and dargahs. The population was almost all tribal, and cattle breeding seemed to be the main occupation.
